Mourtalla DIOP is an agro-economist engineer who graduated from CESAG-Dakar, BIT-Turin, CIMMYT-Mexico, IITA-Ibadan. A former program officer for many United Nations agencies (UNDP, WFP, BT), Mourtalla has more than 30 years of experience in the administration of rural development, international cooperation, and environmental assessments in all their formats (EIA, ESIA, SEA, ESMS, ESMP, IOP, environmental compliance audits of energy, industrial and agri-food projects). 

Within EES, he is a socio-economist in charge of community relations and stakeholder consultation for all environmental assessments led by EES to ensure ownership of projects by their most influential technical and social partners. He is fluent in French, Arabic and English.
